An overview of Reports section (part 1)
Author: ArunA new feature enhancement that went into our recent GA release is the 'Reports' section. Here is an overview of the Reports section, presented as a three-part series. For the uninformed, I am talking about the new tab that can be seen when you login to your Site24x7 account.
The Reports section gives the following types of reports
- Availability Reports.
- Response Time reports by the hour.
- Comparison Reports.
- Reports over a custom range.
This post focuses on Availability Reports. The 'All websites availability report' section gives you availability reports for all the websites and web applications configured in your account.
The main benefit of this report is that you get to see the downtime stats of all your websites at a glance. For example, in the above sample image, we can see that the website labeled 'mydomain' had some downtime while three other websites did not experience any downtime during the last 24 hours. Availability reports can also be viewed for each website individually.
From the historical data section, you can find out the exact start and end time of your website's unavailability as well as the duration of the downtime.
This section provides you with empirical knowledge of your website downtime and you know exactly how many times your sites went down over a given time period. I believe this post provided an overview of Availability Reports section and also helped to clear up some of your doubts. If you have any questions, please mail to support@site24x7.com and I'll answer those when I write the second part of the 'Report Overview' series.
