Hello,
We had a database that become unavailable due to issues with the underlying storage.
We would like to be able to have the SQL Server Instance alert, such as trouble, if any indicated database is unavailable.
For example, in the individual database threshold, if the status is not healthy, such as recovery, emergency, offline, the instance could be marked as in trouble.
I know that the legacy SQL monitor does not directly access the instance, so perhaps this could be at least something that might be available for SQL insights which does.
Or, at least, a plugin that might be used on the top-level server monitoring agent that connects to the instance and simply checks database availability.
Hi Dennis,
Thanks for raising your concern. We are currently working on providing this capability and will update soon as we roll it out.
Regards,
Jenzo
