For our customer we would welcome it if the Azure SQL managed instance monitor could be expanded with database status and database backup monitoring capabilities.
Currently it only seems to support the current status of the managed Instance itself and no way to monitor the containing databases.

We are glad to confirm that supporting in-depth monitoring for databases, backups, and failover within Azure SQL Managed Instance is indeed feasible and is something we are looking to implement.
However, we are unable to commit to a specific timeline for delivery at this point. We have noted this as a feature request and will explore the possibility of including it in our future updates.
