Hi,
It will be good to have the option to delete an interface from a network device when its not needed anymore. Currently the closet option is to suspend the interface, which is not very clean. Ideally in my environment I would like to see 0 suspended monitor/interface.
Regards,
Ash

Hi Ash,
We don't have an option to delete interfaces, right now, but we will take this as a feature request and add it to our product road map.
However, we can't commit an exact timeline for this feature. We will keep you posted about the release by updating this thread.
Thanks,
Santhi

Hello Ash,
We're unable to take this up as of now due to the following reasons:
- The interfaces that are not of use can be suspended and these suspended devices are not displayed anywhere except the "Suspended devices" tab.
- Our automatic interface rediscovery happens every six hours, and hence any deleted interface would get readded. Preventing the readdition would require a separate entry on our database, which will somehow store the interfaces but just limit the display.
The following could be the possible solutions:
- We have introduced "Interface filters" a few months back, using which you can filter out an unwanted set of interfaces, right while adding. You can use this option for future instances of this kind.
- Completely deleting a device's interfaces is possible only when the interface is removed from the device. We are working on this.
Please let us know if this would help.
Thanks,
Santhi
