Hi Tom,
We are almost done with the update and we will get you an update on the attribute "freeable memory" in few days time.
Along with this , we have planned to support replica lag, bin log disk usage and swap usage too.
Kindly let us know if you require any other attribute along with this, in any of our AWS based services. We would do the needful.
Hope you are aware of our integrated offering for EC2 and Server. We are working on a lot of stuffs based on this integration. So , kindly stay updated with respect to this.

Thanks for the quick follow up! I now have this option: rdsinstance.freeablememory.exceeds
I have two questions :)
1. Shouldn't this be drops below instead of exceeds?
2. Would it be possible to make it percentage based so it could be configured the same for all RDS instances with different memory sizes?
Thanks again!

Hi Tom,
I am surprised that you see a different key from what I see(PFA). It should be "Freeable memory threshold". We follow this terminology and hence preferred the following text.Shouldn't this be drops below instead of exceeds?
In general, a freeable memory requirements may vary for different memory sizes are 10% availability for 8GB(~200 MB) memory is not as same as 10% availability for 32GB(~3.2 GB). 3.2 GB is a manageable amount of memory in case of RDS . So , we preferred bytes. Are you sure that you will be requiring this? We will look into this if required.Would it be possible to make it percentage based so it could be configured the same for all RDS instances with different memory sizes?
