I get the reasoning behind auto-discovery and I like the feature, what is not cool is auto adding things to our account..
For example, we wanted to check out the VmWare check but it kept adding tons of other checks and sending out tons of false alerts, not to mention it uses up checks that customers may need or just do not have.
This is not a good way to go about doing things. What should be done instead is continue doing autodiscovery but pop-up a window that asks customers if they want to add the items that were found and if they do; they get to go through each item and configure them to make sure they work or decline to add certain ones they don't need.

Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
The VMs under an ESX host will be auto added when "Monitor VMs" is enabled in the respective ESX Monitor.
To prevent auto adding of VMs, you can disable "Monitor VMs" by editing the respective ESX Monitor.
Regards,
Krishna.
