Azure CDN Profiles Monitoring Integration
A content delivery network (CDN) is a distributed network of servers that delivers web information to users quickly and effectively. To reduce latency, these CDNs store cache content on edge servers in point-of-presence locations close to end users. An Azure CDN profile is a collection of CDN endpoints.
With Site24x7's integration, you can now monitor your CDN profiles, configure thresholds, and receive alerts about critical issues.

Setup and configuration
You can add Azure CDN profiles while adding a new monitor or you can add it to an existing Azure monitor. Follow these steps to add the service.
Supported metrics
The following metrics are collected:

| Byte Hit Ratio | This is the ratio of the total bytes served from the cache compared to the total response bytes | Average | Percent |
| Request Count | The number of client requests served by the HTTP/S proxy | Total | Count |

| Total Latency | The time calculated from when the client request was received by the HTTP/S proxy until the client acknowledged the last response byte from the HTTP/S proxy | Average | Milliseconds |
Threshold configuration
Global configuration
- Go to the Admin section in the left navigation pane.
- Select Configuration Profiles from the left pane and choose the Threshold and Availability (+) tab from the drop-down menu. Click Add Threshold Profile from the top-right corner.
- Set the monitor type as Azure CDN Profiles. Now you can set the threshold values for all the metrics mentioned above.
Monitor-level configuration
- Go to Cloud > Azure and select Azure CDN Profiles from the drop-down menu.
- Choose a resource for which you would like to set a threshold, then click the hamburger icon
. Select Edit, which will direct you to the Edit Azure CDN Profiles Monitor page.
You can set the threshold values for the metrics by selecting Threshold and Availability. You can also configure IT Automation at the attribute level.
